Work outcome
You can read a yarn specification and say what it will do in the finished garment: hand, strength, pilling, shrinkage, and price. And you can challenge a fibre choice or a count on a tech pack before it reaches a cost sheet.

What you will produce
You write a yarn line you can defend. You name the spinning route instead of assuming it. You write the count in a system that cannot be read two ways. You resolve the ply to a resultant tex, and you put a twist multiplier and direction on the spec. You price each choice per kilo against the order it belongs to.
