Retail Maths Foundations
You follow two jersey tops through one spring season, week by week. They sold at exactly the same rate. You work out the rate of sale, the sell-through, and the cover. You compare markup with margin, and you find the full-price sell-through a plan needs. Then you see how much stock was left at the end, and how the intake caused it. Every figure is worked out in front of you, so you can check it.

Course value
What will you be able to do?
Work outcome
You can build and defend an open-to-buy, phase intake against a forecast you can justify, and decide when to take a markdown instead of holding stock that is quietly costing you money.
Who it is for
Brand and buying-office teams.
What you will produce
You do the planner's arithmetic on real figures. You walk weekly through stock, sales, and intake, with returns. You work out sell-through gross and net, and state its week. You read rate of sale and cover against the weeks left. You convert markup to margin both ways. You build a ticket backwards from a target margin. You find the full-price sell-through a plan needs. And you split terminal stock into over-intake and under-sales.
