Forecasting and Phasing
You phase one kidswear outerwear season week by week against a real trading calendar. You apply last year's shape to a year that is a week shorter. The school break moves by a retail week. You build intake and cover from the curve, and then four weeks of trade come in under plan. You learn to separate a season that is smaller from a season that is late.

Course value
What will you be able to do?
Work outcome
You can build and defend an open-to-buy, phase intake against a forecast you can justify, and decide when to take a markdown instead of holding stock that is quietly costing you money.
Who it is for
Brand and buying-office teams.
What you will produce
You build a phased sales plan by calendar date rather than by week number. You draw an intake plan and a forward-cover line from it. You find the last intake week that can still change a season. You write a mid-season reforecast twice, under two competing readings. And you work out the intake decision each one implies, with the check that tells them apart.
