What it is
The ship gate is the set of checks a delivery must pass before it can be marked shipped — production coverage (you can't ship what isn't made), an accepted final AQL, and packing readiness. When the buyer requires them, the safety gates (final AQL, metal detection) block and only an Owner or QA lead can override; a rejected final inspection can't be overridden at all. The rest can warn.
How to use it
Try to mark a delivery shipped. If the gate isn't met, the button is disabled with the named, linked reason — or, for a judgment call like an early partial, a separate 'Ship anyway (override)' that logs the gaps.
Good to knowYou can't ship a Draft or 0%-produced delivery at all — that hard tier has no override, because it would mean shipping goods that don't exist.
